Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Anne Marie and I am a 9 year ALK+ lung cancer lifer who wants to use my experience to help others who are living with a lung cancer diagnosis. I was diagnosed in 2009 at the age of 30. Shortly after diagnosis, I received the standard of care (Chemo, Radiation, Surgery). Just as I started putting my life back together I experienced a recurrence. With few options, I turned to clinical trials and since then, I Live a very full life with metastatic disease.
My goal with this blog is to not only share in some of my personal experiences, but to serve as a resource for others who have been diagnosed with lung cancer. I have always thought that being “in the know” was important, but even more so when you are trying to advocate for yourself and your loved ones.
A really strong woman accepts the war she went through and is ennobled by her scars.
